What is SPC Card?

What kind of discounts can I get with the SPC Card?
SPC Card discounts vary from 10-15% off regular priced or sale merchandise. Offers may vary.

Do I have to be a student to have an SPC card?
Yes. SPC Card can be used by any elementary, Junior High School, Secondary School, CÉGEP, College, University, private and public academies and schools of special focus or interest (e.g. language schools)

Does the SPC Card have an expiry date?
Your SPC Card membership is valid for twelve months, from August 1 until July 31 the following year.

When making a purchase with my SPC Card, do I have to show my student ID?
Make sure your SPC Card is registered and the back is signed. Merchants will not accept the card if it is not signed or if it is an expired card.

SPC Card merchants have the right to ask for student ID to ensure that the person using the card is a student. This request is made to protect the cardholder from anybody falsely using his or her card. If you cannot provide a valid student ID, your discount may be refused.

Students under the age of 16 should not be asked to provide student ID as in majority of cases they do not have student ID.

Can I share my SPC Card?
NO. All purchases made using the SPC Card are for the cardholder only. Card sharing is strictly prohibited and constitutes fraud. Any cardholder who shares their card will have their membership revoked. In addition, SPC Card partners have the right to seize a card if it is used by someone:

- Other than the person whose signature appears on the back of the card.
- Who is not a student.

What to do if my SPC Card is lost or stolen?
Unfortunately, SPC Card does not replace any lost or stolen cards, directories, and/or coupons.

What happens if I move to another province in Canada?
SPC Card is valid in all of Canada. You can use your SPC in any participating retailer from coast to coast. For a complete list of stores, please visit www.spccard.ca

What is a VIP Card?
The VIP Card is a version of the SPC Card that we make limited quantities of each year for promotional purposes. The only difference between the VIP card and a regular SPC Card is that it does not require student ID. Unfortunately the VIP Cards are not for sale and we can't renew them.

How do I use my BMO SPC Mosaik MasterCard?
At places that accept MasterCard you MUST pay with your BMO SPC Mosaik MasterCard in order to get your discount. When paying with your BMO SPC Mosaik MasterCard you must first notify the cashier before paying that you qualify for your discount . Please ensure that your discount has been removed at point of sale. At places that do not accept MasterCard you only need to show the BMO SPC Mosaik MasterCard for the discount and then pay with cash or debit.
